As members of RRC, the staff and advisory group bring decades of mass spectrometry experience to MSC and UIC. Our goal is to be a valuable resource to complex research needs via mass spectrometry instruments, bioinformatic tools and highly trained staff. The MSC oversees and operates state-of-the-art mass spectrometers across the UIC campus in an open access facility. The MSC laboratory current houses instruments with electrospray (ESI), MALDI, and ICP sources coupled with traditional mass analyzers that provide fast, high accuracy and high-resolution measurements. Technical capabilities in our facility provide researchers with the most up to date technologies and enables innovative research with enormous impact.
